Confirmation is the second sacrament of initiation that strengthens the grace received at baptism. Through the anointing with sacred chrism and the laying on of hands by a bishop, the faithful are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, deepening their bond with Christ and empowering them to live as mature witnesses of the faith.
Dear Parents and Candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation:
On the day of our baptism our journey as a Christian in the Catholic faith began. The process of Christian initiation continued with the reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Our initiation in the Catholic faith becomes even more powerful when we enter the process of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. You are invited to continue your faith journey, by receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. The date of the Sacrament of Confirmation will be announced very soon.
Please complete the registration form below in order to sign up for the program. There will be a mandatory meeting for parents of candidates at the end of September. Parents are requested to attend this meeting along with a candidate. During the meeting, an informational packet will be handed out, and a detailed program will be presented to candidates and their parents. The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes and will take place in our Parish hall.
Candidates for Confirmation are required to present proof of baptism. All certificates will be photocopied and returned. If your son/daughter was baptized at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, it is not necessary to bring a Baptismal Certificate.
