The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization dedicated to the four principles of Unity, Charity, Fraternity and Patriotism. It was founded in 1882 by the Venerated Father Michael McGivney in New Haven Connecticut, and named in honour of the great explorer Christopher Columbus. There are currently over 1.9 million members in over 15,000 councils in Canada, the United States, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Mexico, Philippines, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, the Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Cuba, and South Korea.
The Pope John Paul II Council of the Knights of Columbus at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church was founded in 2007.
